WATER MUSEUM PUBLIC GARDEN - DEVIN WAY

The garden has been designed as a relaxation area, with the water element prevailing. At the same time, it is a continuation of the educational exhibition, which presents water as a natural element of civilization. Water, as a natural element, at the symbolic level is also reflected in waved paths that link different parts of the garden, as well as in the waved shapes of the area itself.

The garden remains in the closest touch with the preserved riparian forest, Sihoť island and the Danube river.

Opposite the new entry a cyclopoint and multifunctional wooden jetty are located. The cyclopoint is complemented by a shelter/canopy, and might in the future be used by the operators as a small buffet for cyclists. On the wooden podium a space will be created for occasional social events of the museum.

The main part of the garden is devoted to children and physical activities that relate to the theme of water. On an irrigated grass surface a flat area has been formed, which can be used for the occasional sporting activity, and from the Danube River the area has been enhanced by non-allergic protective and insulating foliage.

Along the trails are placed copies of Bratislava’s original benches.
In the restored gardens area a variety of water features have been situated: fountains with drinking water and a copy of the “Boy with Heron” fountain, all surrounded by dense greenery which contributes to the creation of a romantic nook. The newest atriaction is a “waterdrop“ interactive element.
