THE HOUSE AT THE WELL

Creativity is an unlimited gift, which we had to make full use of when designing a house for a family of 4 in Marianka on a northern, abandoned, steep, overgrown and de facto non-saleable plot. How to turn all these land disadvantages into a comfortable living space? How to contribute by building a new house to an already dense development at the bend of a narrow and dead-end ? How to persuade an investor to "donate" part of his land for the expansion of a local road?

How to comply with the height of the roof ridge and the regulation of its slope at the same time - on a plot that is higher than the street sidewalk by more than 5 m so that we don´t create a monstrous tower?

How to build a house for minimal costs in such a difficult terrain? How to catch at least a little sun in the interior of the house?

We managed to overcome these difficult challenges and we are happy together with the owners that the seventh wooden house according to the design of Ivan Jarin is standing in Marianka.
