RENOVATION OF THE TOWN SQUARE – ST. MICHAEL

The studio together with the young mayor J. Podmanicky is trying to create a traditional town square „ex post“as a central communication area of the town.

Gradually a proposal saw the light of day for the unifying and improving the attractiveness of individual facades of the existing buildings in the main square reminiscent of the traditional wooden architecture, including pavement and the spatial finishing creations contained in the square.

With time, multiple facades were modified, namely the municipal office, the post office, the culture center a small shop as well as two inns. A small park was created in front of the new apartment building and a statue “Village in the Valley” by Ondrej 4 was installed in the upper corner of the square.

Currently, there are preparations made for the installation of a solar clock by the author Viliam Loviška to be placed on the facade of the only family house on the square.
