GEOPARK MEGONKY
In 1988, an interesting geological phenomenon was discovered in a quarry near Čadca - thirty stone spheres with a diameter of 25 - 260 cm and an estimated age of 30 to 40 million years. It is the largest site of such geological formations in Slovakia, possibly in the world.
In this unique protected natural reserve, it was necessary to create an approachable path to the spheres as well as a space for education. VAN JARINA studio has designed a small pavilion for relaxation, a stage for occasional events and a set of atypical furniture for visitors.
