There is an inherent difficulty with coming with a design into a finished space that was developed by another architect and to complement it appropriately so as not to contradict the original concept and the established habits of the inhabitants. Our task was to humanize the space, rid it of an uncomfortable "echo" of empty walls and surfaces and create functional areas for family relaxation.

We proposed covering the unused arched stage with a shelf lamella unit. Opposite the stairs, we suggested a photo wallpaper with a landscape motif, which was taken by the owner. We improved the acoustics with wool carpets, one of which we placed conventionally by the sofa and the other - a country motif by the Spanish artist Chillid - we hung on the wall.

To revive the space with colour by connecting it to the surrounding nature, we replaced the wooden window frames, which frame the beautiful neighbouring landscape, dominated by the Lietavský Castle.
