AMPHITHEATRE AND PARK
Along the main road in Zborov nad Bystricou in Kysuce, a new park is gradually emerging. It is thematically connected with the church, which houses the famous calvary depicted in the stained glass windows by Vincent Hložník and the altar cross by Alexander Trizuljak.
At present, the village has managed to build its own amphitheater, located in the central part of the planned park. Its shape is based on the dominant mass of the church and is made of red spruce. It offers a comfortable space for occasional cultural performances and village feasts. The backside of the amphitheater serves as seating for the existing sports field. In addition to the spacious dressing rooms, it has built-in public hygiene facilities.
When the project is finished, the site will include a bridge over the river, shelters for social events and outdoor seating, playground for smaller and larger children and artistically designed benches by Polish and Slovak artists that will thematically connect to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, to whom the church is dedicated.
